The well-known Polish discount retailer Pepco has signed lease agreements with two of Kyiv's leading shopping and entertainment centers, Respublika Park and Retroville.
Retail & Development Advisor (RDA), a consulting company, serves as the exclusive representative of the Pepco brand in Ukraine.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of the first two lease agreements for the opening of Pepco stores in Ukraine. I would like to sincerely thank the teams at Respublika Park and Retroville for their openness, professionalism, and productive cooperation, as well as the Pepco team for placing their trust in our company and working together with us to bring the brand to the Ukrainian market. I am confident that customers will highly appreciate the store format and product assortment, and that the opening of the first locations in Kyiv will mark the beginning of the chain's successful expansion across Ukraine," commented Andrii Lototskyi, CEO of RDA.
According to RDA, Pepco has leased a 450 sq m retail space at Respublika Park, while its store at Retroville will occupy 595 sq m. Both locations are scheduled to open at the end of October.
Pepco currently operates a network of more than 4,000 stores across 20 European countries and serves over 36 million customers every month. The company's business model combines a wide product assortment, a customer-oriented approach, and a network of stores designed to provide shoppers with maximum convenience and accessibility.
The discount retailer offers more than 45 product categories. Its core assortment includes children's clothing (30%), home goods (27%), adult clothing (23%), toys (8%), and seasonal products such as Christmas decorations (3%).
As part of its expansion strategy in Ukraine, the company is primarily seeking retail spaces ranging from 450 to 600 sq m, mainly within shopping mall galleries and retail parks.
