JTI Ukraine opened the first outlet of the Ploom X Advanced brand, the company's newest device for electric tobacco heating, in the Gulliver shopping and entertainment center in Kyiv.
This was reported by the press service of the consulting company Retail & Development Advisor (RDA), which acts as the exclusive partner and broker of JTI Ukraine in this project.
As the tobacco company said, the new device was developed in California and improved with Japanese technology and innovation. The gadget is based on the patented HeatFlow technology, which guarantees perfect air flow and ease of use. The battery capacity allows up to 20 sessions in a row, and the Intuitouch technology allows you to control the device with just one touch.
"In general, in 2024-26, the company plans to invest about $60 million in the product in Ukraine. Ploom X Advanced is already sold in retail chains in Kyiv and on the specialized website www.ploom.ua, and from August 9 - also in the first Ploom branded store in the shopping center Gulliver in Kyiv. Here you can not only purchase the Ploom X Advanced device and its accessories, but also ask for any product advice and warranty service. The company plans to expand this format of stores and open them in key shopping malls of the capital, and in the future to scale sales throughout the territory of Ukraine," said the head of the group for the development of the category of low-risk products and the direction of digital technologies, Daria Sergienko.
The RDA company clarified that the first Ploom outlet with an area of 12 square m works in the format of an island on the first floor of the shopping gallery Gulliver shopping center.
"Gulliver shopping center fully meets the target audience of the JTI Ukraine company. This is the administrative and business center of the city, located at the intersection of the main transport arteries. The location combines convenient shopping with a business environment. These advantages became the key to the decision to open the first Ploom brand outlet. By the end of 2024 the company plans to open three more locations in Kyiv's most successful malls," added RDA commercial real estate manager Anna Yatsenko.
According to her, at this stage JTI Ukraine will develop the network in the format of trading islands. As for the location requirements they include good visibility, location at the intersection of galleries and consistently high traffic. At the same time, the emphasis will be placed on powerful marketing promotion to acquaint the consumer with the new product.
