This is the tenth store in the near-the-house format actively developed by the network. The Retail & Development Advisor (RDA) consulting company was a broker while signing the lease agreement.
RDA’s press office notified that another Pick up had already opened on the territory of the Ministerskyi apartment complex at 5 Kondratiuk Street. Over 1,500 items occupied a quite small area of 75 sq. m. They include self-produced fragrant bakery and bread, hot-dogs, fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, dairy, sausages, cheese, company’s imports, Cosmia cosmetics, popular toys, and a wide array children’s products,
The range of goods is relevant to customers’ needs. The company counts on young families as the majority of buyers. Of course, toys, pet supply, and household goods are on display.
Traditionally, Auchan merged its physical and digital stores, creating a so-called phy-digital format. So, one can order goods from a large Auchan store on the site, or receive a parcel in Nova Poshta’s post boxes.
“We strive to be closer to our customers, meaning literally several steps away,” the head of the new concepts, Sergiy Fedorovichev, says, “If customers cannot reach out to our large format for some reason, we provide them with the opportunity to buy goods near their houses.”
Auchan has been opening new stores in this format almost weekly for the past month. For example, the retailer launched three new Pick Up Point stores in Park Avenue and Rybalsky apartment complexes. Generally, there are ten such stores within the network. Moreover, Auchan is going to continue its expansion in this niche.
