The three-story AREAL Plaza shopping and entertainment center, featuring an ATB supermarket and a cinema, is set to open in April 2026 in the city of Chortkiv, Ternopil region.
This was reported by the consulting company Retail & Development Advisor (RDA), which acts as the exclusive broker for the shopping mall.
According to the announcement, the mall building with a total area of nearly 5,000 sq m has already been connected to all engineering utilities and commissioned. Within the next month, the premises are expected to be handed over to tenants for fit-out.

“The key advantage of the complex is its location in the very center of Chortkiv, next to the City Council. The area is characterized by well-developed infrastructure, significant pedestrian traffic, and convenient transport accessibility, which substantially increases the attractiveness of the shopping and entertainment center for both tenants and visitors,” said Andrii Lototskyi, CEO of RDA.
According to him, the city previously lacked such a modern commercial space, so AREAL Plaza will not only meet local residents’ needs for quality shopping but also become a traditional meeting and leisure destination. The RDA CEO also noted that the project will create new jobs and provide additional budget revenues for the community, and that its implementation became possible thanks to the support of the City Council and the Mayor.
Preliminary estimates suggest that the mall’s average footfall will be around 4,000–6,000 visitors per day, driven in particular by a strong pool of retail operators.

In particular, the anchor tenant at AREAL Plaza will be an ATB supermarket—the leader of the Ukrainian grocery retail market. It will be located on the minus first floor and will occupy nearly 1,350 sq m. In addition, the opening of a cinema, a drogerie retailer, as well as fashion operators, a bookstore, and a stationery store is already planned.
RDA emphasizes that the company’s main objective in this project is to attract chain tenants capable of ensuring stable footfall, a broad audience, and the rapid formation of regular visitation habits. In shaping the tenant mix, RDA focuses on the typical needs of local residents for daily shopping, entertainment, and services.
